Having a baby is a very beautiful event filled with moments of extreme intensity. Having a nurse who works above and beyond the norm to make sure you are taken care of is exactly what Tara did for me and my family! Working night shift, our first night here was when we noticed she was something more than just a Labor & Delivery Nurse. Kind, caring, selfless, and great at explaining precisely what is going on is indeed just a small portion of what makes her such an incredible asset to the hospital staff. To create an environment suited specifically for me not only made me feel valued, but also understood and heard. We had the best conversations. She allowed me and my husband the freedom to be exactly who we are with no judgment. She made us laugh and played along when we did the same. No doubt she brings this to every patient she encounters. For the duration of my labor while in her care, she made sure I had everything I needed & more. Offering me several options. Some I wasn’t aware I had, to help make me comfortable. She did not leave my side when my epidural had a hot spot. Tara massaged my back during contractions in the spot the epidural wouldn’t cover & proceeded to turn me over on my side to rock my hips during those tearfully painful contractions, which moved my baby into a position that eased my pain tremendously!! When it came time to push, she never left my side, caring for me with delicacy, heart, passion, and SO MUCH MORE! Tara excelled my expectations of what a nurse should be! I am eternally grateful to her for every moment she graced us with her presence. She gave my birth experience the cherry on top of perfection, and even that is an understatement!
