Tara is a wonderful student leader and someone who everyone in our cohort and other cohorts, even those in other majors, looks up to. She is always smiling and has something positive to say, no matter what the situation. She is encouraging and takes the time to ask others how they're doing. She is also very smart and hard working and a good mentor to others. I have never heard her complain, and when I see her interacting with patients (we have had 2 clinical groups and an externship together), her love for nursing and her patients radiates. I could never say enough good things about Tara. A second nomination read: Tara has been a leader for her peers in the nursing cohort, which is shown by her being nominated as the class treasurer at the beginning of nursing school. She is a hard worker, and is always encouraging others to do their best. In the clinical setting, Tara is eager to learn, and steps up to the plate to help out with other nursing student's tasks if they need assistance. She enjoys learning about her patients and gaining strength and wisdom from their personal stories. Throughout the tough journey of nursing school, she has remained supportive of her peers and has gone to faculty for extra help to improve her knowledge and test taking skills. Tara loves nursing and cannot wait to graduate to become a special, compassionate nurse who makes a difference in each of her patients.
