Tara stayed and comforted a young patient who had social service involvement. She was there to give the patient the news about her baby. She stood with the patient when she was emotionally distraught. Tara stayed with this patient when her shift was over and she wasn't her patient in an assignment. Tara called 5 pediatricians to find one that would take her insurance and was close to where the patient lived. She answered all of her questions or just sat and listened. Tara was there when the patient was told the investigation was finished and she would get to take her baby home. Tara was an advocate for this patient with every service involved in her care. She made sure she had resources set up for the future. I was very impressed by how Tara went beyond her charge role to collaborate with everyone concerning this patient.
