My daughter, M, has special needs and was extremely sick when she was admitted. She was very lethargic and hadn't smiled and laughed for at least a week. Tarcia walked into our room and was immediately welcoming to my family that was visiting. She was caring towards M. Later that same day, she had to draw blood as well as get her to drink medicine that wasn't too pleasant. Before we knew it, Tarcia had M laughing and acting like her old self. Not too many people can interact with a special needs adult, but Tarcia was a pro. She got M to do things that are even hard for us as her parents to do. I've nominated Tarcia because she went above and beyond to make my child laugh and smile even during a difficult time of sickness.
