After being diagnosed with stage 4 cancer last year, Tari has been my primary nurse and has weathered all the storms with me. After working all night, I needed an infusion and became very emotional, Tari sat next to me and calmed me (the warm blankets were a nice touch!) and it was as though I were the only patient in the room. Tari is like this with every chemotherapy treatment I get. I can see how busy they are with other patients and yet when she gets to me it's like I am the only one there.

While I don't like receiving chemo, I do look forward to seeing Tari as she always has something new to teach me about my regimen or my blood work or even to talk about the weekend or our children. All of the oncology staff are wonderful actually. Tari will always hold a special place in my heart for answering questions, having patience with me, and seeing me through dark times. She is truly a gift.
