When I came to the hospital from the ER, it was because of an open wound from a skin cancer removal two weeks before. The removal site had become infected and had tunneled to my right side. After two surgeries to clean it out, I knew it was going to be a long haul to get well. Frustration and panic were the main feelings I was encountering. Then Tary entered as my wound care specialist. Her quiet compassion and efficiency in caring for my wound eased my panic and frustration. As she explained every part of my pain, I realized I was in the hands of a consummate professional nurse. I want to thank her again for the special care she gave me and for using her amazing "healing hands." Taryn's a very special person who helped me through a traumatic time.
