Taryn Newhouse, Labor and Delivery Nurse, was nominated by a patient who said:

I was in Labor and Delivery with Q 4 monitoring with twin boys and was having contractions which I didn’t feel but the monitor said so. Some nurses said that was okay if I don’t feel them. Taryn noticed something wrong and took a step ahead, involved the on-call doctor who ordered blood tests, amniocentesis, and found I was having fluid infections and did emergency C-section. Taryn was wonderful and is very deserving of the DAISY Award.
