Tasha Delcore, RN

I am writing to enthusiastically nominate Tasha for the DAISY Award. On a day when our unit faced extreme staffing challenges, Tasha was floated to our floor as a task nurse. Her presence transformed what could have been an overwhelming shift into a manageable, safe day for everyone involved. Our floor was under immense pressure. Every floor nurse, including me as the charge nurse, was carrying a heavy load of six patients each. The tension and workload were incredibly high. From the exact moment Tasha arrived, she brought an infectious, positive attitude and a genuine readiness to help. Instead of treating the float assignment as a burden, she stepped up immediately. She anticipated our needs, jumped into tasks seamlessly, and took a massive amount of pressure off the primary nursing staff.

What stood out the most was her grace under pressure. Not once did she gripe, complain, or show frustration about the heavy workload or the chaotic environment. She simply kept a smile on her face and asked, “What can I do next?” Her impact extended far beyond the staff. Patients noticed her warmth and efficiency and expressed deep gratitude for her care. Tasha represents the very best of teamwork, not just on her home unit but within the organization. She turned a difficult shift into an inspiring display of teamwork and excellence. She is deeply deserving of the DAISY Award.
