Tashanda Brown, RN

Tashanda has gone above and beyond nursing duties many times during the time working in the clinic. She had a veteran who came to the clinic via ambulance service from a rehab center. That veteran was also meeting his wife here, who had driven herself.

The veteran told this nurse that he did not want to return with the ambulance service because of a bad experience with the driver and requested that his wife drive him back to the rehab center after his appointment. Tashanda reached out to both the rehab center and the ambulance service to request a different driver for the veteran. This nurse went beyond the nursing duties to make sure this veteran felt comfortable returning to the rehab center.

This just shows one example of how dedicated this nurse is to the veterans and a great asset to this team.
