Her patience, support, and compassion for me were beyond anything I had experienced.
She was my night shift nurse after I delivered my baby. This was my first pregnancy, and it was so overwhelming. She was a godsend that night. I felt so weak, and she helped me use the bathroom throughout that shift. I was in a lot of pain, and she made sure that I got the medications needed to help me get through it. I had to breastfeed the baby; he was not latching on, and I was getting frustrated. She helped me calm down and explained that the baby and I are both new to this experience, and it will take us a while to learn each other and adjust. I had never felt so needy, but she assured me that she did not mind me calling her several times to help me. She advocated for me to go to my room as often as necessary to not fall. I felt so bad for driving her crazy all night, but her patience, support, and compassion for me were beyond anything I had experienced, and I want her nominated to hopefully see what a wonderful nurse she is.
