From the very beginning, Nurse Tatiana was attentive, kind, knowledgeable, and very professional in her care for my daughter. You can tell she read her medical chart thoroughly to understand how to put her care into motion.

First, my daughter was air flighted, so we had an hour and a half drive, but had to stop at home first to prepare. Nurse Tatiana called us and let us know she made it safely and the course of action she will be taking to begin while we made our way. She ensured that she was safe, and she stayed by her until Dad and I arrived, and we found her right where she said she would be.

Albeit, it took us 4 hours to arrive due to distance and preparation. While here, she checked in consistently at the same time intervals, she always explained things to her before she did them. Being a child with ASD is hard, whether they are verbal or nonverbal, high functioning or low functioning. She recognized her abilities right away and treated her with fairness and inclusion. She also made sure that when she turned over for the next nurse, they too understood all she did that made caring for our daughter such a success.

Recognizing our daughter's struggle, they connected over the anime pin on Nurse Tatiana's ID. To encourage her fluid intake, which is a part of her course of treatment, Tatiana got her the anime water bottle, and when our daughter received it, her water intake went up so much. Just that night, she drank the entire bottle well into the morning. It is hard in the medical field to connect with patients due to the various challenges they may be facing, but Nurse Tatiana showed it is possible!
