Her nurse always reassured us that she was always there if we needed her. Her personality is so warm and genuine, and she is definitely an asset to this hospital.
I would like to nominate a specific nurse for the DAISY Award.... She is the most wonderful Person. The word Nurse does not even begin to describe her heart. She is truly unique. In these times with families dealing with such serious illness, soon no one will be sick, we look forward to that day. Until that day, thank you for allowing us to share time with her. She was genuine, we were not just a room #, but individuals. She touched our hearts and was attentive to our needs. She was always vigilant in her responsibilities, intelligent, and interesting. Our nurse was always ready to help! Thank you!

My sister was transferred from Baptist Oxford to Baptist Memphis after receiving brain surgery in an attempt to remove a brain tumor. She was suffering from weakness and numbness in her right leg, foot, and arm. She had also been having severe headaches. Once she was transferred, a particular nurse was like a guardian angel in providing care for our sister. She went above and beyond in providing excellent care and service, from making sure she got a meal tray when she didn’t receive one to taking the most compassionate care in giving medications and explaining care to not only the patient but to both me and my other sister.

My other sister and I had flown in from Florida to be with her, and this nurse made sure we had everything we needed to help us in our care taking of our sister. My sister did have a 2nd brain surgery which they were able to remove all of the tumor. Her nurse always reassured us that she was always there if we needed her. Her personality is so warm and genuine, and she is definitely an asset to this hospital. Even after her 2nd surgery, my sister was returned back to this unit and she was so happy when she saw that she had the same nurse again! She would always check on her before she left for the day and that meant so much! We firmly believe that the care this nurse provided for our sister has helped her to have a great recovery!
