August 2021 Honoree
Taylor Armstrong, RN
We had a patient that frequently missed treatments but was trying to improve so that he could get on the transplant list so he could receive a kidney. Taylor educated the patient every treatment to improve his lab values and rescheduled all his missed treatments to ensure he had a low missed treatment rate. Because of her persistence and even the patient calling her his “dialysis wife” he received a kidney in September 2020. The VP of the division added this: This teammate has gone above and beyond to help her region and division through leadership and nursing shortages. She leaned in during COVID and continues to be a behavioral leader and role model. We are thrilled to recognize a TM who truly loves her profession and finds meaningful ways to “give life” with every interaction.
Thank you, Taylor, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
