I was admitted to the ED at Blodgett Hospital in June. I am 18 years old, and this was my first experience at a hospital that I have memory of. Things around me were happening rapidly and not really knowing exactly what I was in for as well as the added stress of lack of proper rest, nutrition, and fluids, all made me exhibit an anxious demeanor. Taylor was the very first nurse to treat me in my extended stay at Blodgett and his extremely professional, yet perfectly balanced pure, genuinely caring nature comforted my initial adversity and calmed my senses greatly, which was exactly what I needed at that moment. In today’s diverse culture, true hospitality is a rare find. Taylor proved to me his true colors through his actions in treating me. His heart is the reason he is a DAISY Nurse.
