My mother is a non-English speaking patient, and her outpatient surgery became an overnight stay. Taylor was our overnight nurse. Her sweet, attentive, and professional demeanor, very patient with my mother and her limitations and requests are to be commended. She was always checking on her, her pain level, and any needs, informing us, and apologizing when something was not happening as planned or fast enough. She never “complained” that someone did not do something or “she couldn’t do it because…” She took ownership of the organization as if it belongs to her and simply found solutions. She is definitely an employee whom you would want to teach others on how to deal with less-than-ideal situations with grace. My mother was embarrassed because she soiled the bed during her stay and was trying to help her clean it and she was so patient trying to explain to her that she chose this profession to serve others and it was a pleasure for her to be able to do it for my mom. We never met Taylor before but it was like she was family. Thank you for the care and compassion demonstrated to my mother during her stay. God bless Memorial!
