Taylor was nominated by a patient’s daughter: My mother who means the world to me, was in PHX hospital with a terminal condition. All the nurses were awesome, but Taylor Cashaw in particular stood out and went above and beyond to care for my mother. Taylor was compassionate, knowledgeable, and empathetic not just with my mom but with me and the rest of my family. She took the time to sit down and talk to her patient, getting to know her and understand her needs. Taylor was bright and cheerful. She would check on my mom always, not just when my mom would call her. Even one day, when Taylor was not my mom’s nurse, she would check in on me and ask me if I was doing okay and if I needed anything. Taylor understood my mom being in the hospital affected the whole family, not just my mother. When I would leave to go home, I felt comfortable leaving knowing mom was in good hands. Taylor made us feel like mom was her only patient and I know that was not the case. I cannot thank Taylor and all the nurses enough for their service!
