She made my overall experience 100% perfect because she ensured I was the boss, even though it was a short labor, which every nurse or midwife in L&D should strive to make a mom feel.
Taylor connects with their patient in such a way that made me feel at ease. I felt taken care of compared to my other labor experiences in this very same facility. I almost felt like I had my sister beside me during birth. Taylor’s words of encouragement felt genuine and didn’t sound like a demand, unlike my past experiences. She made me feel like I was in control and not the other way around. I had control over everything with Taylor’s support; she asked if I was positioned exactly as I wanted or if I wanted to move to another position, but she did not force me to do anything else. Instead, she told me to listen to my body and do what it told me to do. They held my hand and gave me words of encouragement in a soft voice instead of yelling, 'I can do it,' which, in this situation, felt more encouraging. They even gave me a portable baby monitor on my stomach, which no other nurse offered me in my past two experiences, considering I told them from the very beginning that I wanted to be mobile since my pain management was only relaxation. She made my overall experience 100% perfect because she ensured I was the boss, even though it was a short labor, which every nurse or midwife in L&D should strive to make a mom feel. It’s never going to be a pleasant experience for any mom going through labor unmedicated, and for the nurses to ensure moms go through the experience exactly as planned is the greatest experience she could ever ask for, and Taylor did just that. I’m grateful for that! I felt more supported and more educated.

I came in as a first-time mom. Although I met Taylor after getting my epidural, she was really integral in my journey of labor. I was able to ask her all of the questions about everything that was going on around me. She was very transparent, well educated and knowledgeable. She provided me with specific information in a neutral, non-emotional manner. It was beneficial at the moment as I didn’t know what was going on at all. She also didn’t make me feel like I was a nuisance when I was asking for a lot of help. She made it really seem like I was her only patient. During my stay, I nicknamed Taylor my sunshine. She was an excellent member of the team I labored with. I was really sad when she left and was hoping that she would be around to deliver my son. Not only was she professional. She was kind and sweet. If I were able to handpick my labor and delivery team for my next birth, I would, without a doubt, have her be a star! Thank you so much, Taylor!
