Taylor was my nurse the first full day I was at the hospital. I was very sick and very scared. I am terrified of needles and let’s just say I got my fair share of IVs during my stay. Taylor always came into the room with a big smile and let me know everything would be ok. She made sure I had everything I needed and wanted. To begin with I felt really awful and didn't talk a lot but by the end of my stay, I was feeling more like my everyday self. She took really good care of me and made extra follow-ups to make sure I was ok. When my IV had to be replaced she sent me to a place that had a special x-ray-like camera and could see my veins so I wouldn’t have to be poked a lot. They were really nice too and they gave me a super cozy blanket I kept with me the whole time! I had other nurses that were all very kind, but Taylor just went above her daily responsibilities and made me feel like she really cared about me. As a kid, it is scary to be as sick as I was, and I know I am super lucky to have had Taylor for the days that I did while I was there. I think she is a very special person and I think she really likes her job a lot. I hope one day to be as good at my job as she is at hers. She is really a super great nurse that gets kids and any kid that has her even if just for a day is very lucky. She just makes you feel safe when you are scared and good when you feel bad! She also kept my mommy from probably falling apart too because moms need things and are scared as well. She took care of my mom even though she wasn't sick! I just want everyone to know how special Nurse Taylor is.
