Taylor kept me calm and reassured. The ability to stay collected in an emergency situation like that and still be attentive and 100% present with your patient is a rare gift.
Taylor was my nurse during the labor and birth of my baby. She was the kindest, most attentive nurse I have had in all of my deliveries. Taylor was in the nitty-gritty with my husband and me. She was reassuring, positive, and truly sincere. Her passion for nursing and caring for her patients was extremely evident the entire time.
When things took a turn south, Taylor was the first to notice the symptoms. Because she acted quickly and confidently in the face of an extremely scary situation, they were able to get the baby out quickly. If she hadn't been so attentive and in tune with my labor, the outcome could have been much different for both the baby and me. I was awake during the emergency C-section, and one of the few things I remember about being on the operating table is Taylor talking to me and keeping me calm and reassured. The ability to stay collected in an emergency situation like that and still be attentive and 100% present with your patient is a rare gift.
Afterward, I told Taylor that she deserves an award for how she handled that situation (or at least a gift basket or something!), she is a true DAISY Nurse!
