Taylor Holecz should receive recognition for her outstanding act of kindness recently with a COVID patient and their family.
The patient was unable to have visitors due to her COVID positive status and was nearing the end of her life. Taylor attempted to use the iPad to allow this patient’s family (especially her husband of 72 years) to see her but was not able to get a good connection. She then used her own personal cell phone to FaceTime with the patient's husband and family.
The patient and her husband had not seen each other since March as they resided in different nursing homes. Taylor said the husband grinned ear-to-ear and told his wife how much he loved her. This was the last conversation the two would have, as the husband passed a week later. I am so proud of Taylor for organizing this special moment for her patient and husband.
