Our nurse Taylor took extra time to get to know us and our story. D was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer in 2019 and when we told Taylor about this, she wanted to know more about our journey and made it known she truly cared. She connected with us on a personal level letting us talk to her about family, our own love story, and hopes for our futures. She shared her own story as well and made our unwanted hospital stay so much more enjoyable.

At one point in time, she shared a quote from her Dad that was, "You better give up now because I am not going to." This is something that made us laugh, but yet inspired us and is something we will be using on our own cancer journey. Taylor always made sure to ask us if she could do anything for us and wanted to make D as comfortable as possible. She continuously kept us know the loop and advocated for D. Because of Taylor, our days were filled with more laughs and smiles. We genuinely looked forward to seeing her every shift she had with us.
