After caring for a patient two nights knowing it was her birthday, Taylor stopped before work buying the patient a card and a cake. She had her coworkers sign the card and rounded up staff to sing Happy Birthday to the patient. The patient was tearful and thankful to still celebrate her birthday after being admitted unexpectedly for a washout. The effort Taylor put in for the patient was really admirable and far above her duties as her nurse to spend her own time and money outside of work as well as while working to make the day so special.
