On my second day of my first round of being admitted, I had an event, and it ended up not being cardiac, but in the moment, my husband and I could not tell the difference. As 20 people flooded my room for my event, Taylor happened to be one who came in to help. As the event cleared and they were wheeling me away for testing, Taylor stayed behind to help my husband, who wasn't handling it too well.

She helped calm him down, and then a few shifts later, in walks Taylor with a big positive attitude at shift change. My husband recognized her, but I did not because it was all still a lot to process. As Taylor's shift went on, the three of us had a bunch of laughs, and in one conversation, the event came up. Taylor said that she loves being in those high-stress environments with her patients and learning how to help in any way possible.

This, to me and my husband both, makes for a great nurse. So many can just come and punch a clock and turn over patients, but the drive Taylor has is one of a kind. She was always the one coming to answer my call buttons, rarely letting the CNAs get to me first. Her energy was contagious, and she really boosted our spirits during my time here. She is one of the best!
