I am a nursing student and during my clinical day, I helped take care of one of this nominee’s patients. I saw how dedicated she was to the care she provided for her patient. He had gone through so much and mentioned that he was afraid and was talking about dying. This nominee reassured this patient, provided support and motivation, and explained how much improvement he has made since she’s had him. You truly were able to see how much care and love she puts into her nursing career. Although the patient was scared, she still managed to put a smile on his face and offer whatever support he needed at this time. And he even remembered her from when he became more awake/alert a few days before. She took the time to give him all the support he needed and told him all the improvement and progress he’s made. She showed a side of nursing that not a lot of people get to see.
