Our 2-year-old daughter was badly, accidentally burned on 22% of her body. We arrived at the PICU by helicopter on Monday night and Taylor has been her day nurse for the last 3 days. The day before her surgery was ROUGH but Taylor did everything, she could make our girl comfortable. The day of her surgery was even harder. She came back with a breathing tube; surgery not being completely done due to multiple complications (nothing a parent wants to hear). Taylor worked her butt off from sunup to sundown that shift. When things took a turn for the worst, Taylor took control and helped our girl. I finally grabbed and hugged her about two hours after she was supposed to be gone because she was finally finishing. She fought so hard and advocated for our daughter. She told us that it was an absolute honor to care for our daughter. We watched her compassion, her caring, her heart the entire time she has taken care of her. We will be here for a while, but we wanted to make sure that Taylor gets the recognition she so graciously deserves. We are so thankful for you, Taylor.
