Taylor understands how important it is to have a rapport with patients. Making small talk doesn’t just pass the time, it leads to connections, and those connections are key for patient trust.
Everyone should be lucky enough to have a nurse like Taylor. From the moment I was wheeled from Emergency to the Clinical Decision Unit to being escorted to the exit at discharge by Taylor, I was in excellent hands. Taylor greeted me, came into my room to get me settled, had cold water ready for me, and he made sure I was comfortably in bed before asking me all of the required questions. His caring nature and his sense of humor immediately put me at ease. His knowledge about what had been done and what was still to be done was reassuring. He explained when further diagnostics might happen. He even ordered lunch for me before I could ask. Taylor understands how important it is to have a rapport with patients. Making small talk doesn’t just pass the time, it leads to connections, and those connections are key for patient trust. I trusted that anything I asked him would be answered honestly, and I knew that if he didn’t know the answer, he would find out and get back to me as soon as possible. I have been in the hospital several times, including once previously at Community Hospital. I have never felt as comfortable as I did in Taylor’s care. He is an excellent nurse and a truly caring person. I am so grateful that he was my caregiver. Community Hospital is very lucky to have such an exemplary young man on their nursing staff.
