We understand some people take their job to heart and it shows in the work they do. Taylor takes it to the next level. Our baby was born three months early and has two grade 4 bleeds on her brain. You could only imagine a number of tubes, wires, machines, and attention a baby of this nature would require. We noticed the unique passion Taylor had when she first worked with Z. She took the time to label and color code to ensure our baby girl had no mistakes or future complications. She also made a medications diagram to avoid complications.
My wife and I had the opportunity to get married in front of our baby girl. Taylor made it feel like a family event. I never felt like I was in a hospital. She made a sign saying "Happily Ever After" with Z's footprint. She put a dress on top of Z that matched my tie. It's one thing to take care of a baby, but to make us feel like a family at the scariest moments of our life, to put us at ease is something special. If/when we have another baby, I'll be wherever Taylor will be.
From a work standpoint, Taylor does the required things to ensure there is no misunderstanding in tubing, meds, and/or communication from doctor to nurse to parents. She sings to our baby to put her at ease, but Taylor's biggest gift is something I wouldn't find in her job description and that is providing comfort to me and my wife. Having a baby three months to the day early put us in tears. Getting the information about the grade four bleeds broke our hearts. Without Taylor providing care and ease to us we wouldn't be able to function in our lives.
Taylor has that special touch and heart to put people at ease. She goes the extra mile every day.
