Taylor Smith, RN

Taylor was my Mother-In-Law’s Nurse. My Mother-In-Law was very particular about eating and was at the end of a chronic lung disease. Taylor went out of her way to find things for her to eat and made sure she was comfortable. She bathed her, washed her hair, and got an air mattress for the bed. She was very meticulous about her care and Taylor made her feel exceptionally special and valued. When Taylor came back to work, she came back to check on her even though she wasn’t her patient. My Mother-In-Law was at Memorial Regional for almost two weeks before she moved to hospice and subsequently passed away. The last thing she asked me to do before she died was to fill this form out for her because she believed Taylor was worthy of this award. In fact, she told me to "write a book!” Taylor showed my Mother-In-Law compassion, kindness, and excellent nursing skills and she made her feel valued at the end of her life. Taylor is a very special Nurse!
