Taylor not only supported our family through the birth of our daughters but also in our loss.
In January of 2019, I gave birth to two beautiful little girls after a high-risk twin pregnancy. Taylor came in and took over for the night and helped me deliver my babies at 32 weeks. She was with me through the entire night after some scary complications, working diligently to keep me safe. Due to those complications, there is a lot after my delivery I do not recall, but I do remember Taylor always being right there taking care of me.
Three months later, we lost one of our daughters. Taylor not only supported our family through the birth of our daughters but also in our loss (including donating blood in her memory). Fast forward to January 2022, and we were scheduled for an induction for another baby girl! As you can imagine, pregnancy and delivery after losing a baby are stressful and full of unknowns. After losing a child, every subsequent appointment or hospital admission always includes a painful reliving of the details of losing our first-born daughter.
Having the same nurses for both of my deliveries meant they were already familiar with, not only my medical history but also our emotional trauma, saving us from having to have that hard conversation with a stranger. When we arrived for our induction, Taylor was awaiting our arrival. She had our room ready for us, including a sweet sign she had made for our baby's crib!
We were able to safely welcome our third little girl. Our family is forever grateful to Taylor for her quality care and support during my first delivery. We hit the jackpot with her! However, the luck of the draw to be blessed with her a second time (and almost 3 years later!) was absolutely incredible.
