During my stay at the hospital, Taylor Thornton was caring for my newborn in the nursery, and I cannot begin to explain how amazing she is as a nurse. Her compassion for her job is evident; you can tell she loves showing up to work every day. On the first day post-op from my c-section, I was struggling both physically and emotionally. I had been crying from the pain and was anxious about being able to care for my son. Taylor came into my room and, seeing my distress, sat with my husband and me. She listened to how I felt and made me feel truly heard. Her feedback instantly calmed my nerves and anxiety, making me feel like I could breathe again and that everything was going to be okay. Taylor takes mental health seriously, which is so important for our community. She checked on me multiple times to ensure I was doing better. It was a great feeling knowing she genuinely cared about my health and well-being. Taylor is a rockstar, and the nursing community is incredibly lucky to have her.
