I was in the PICU for 2 months with NMDAR autoimmune encephalitis. I am 15 years old. My parents told me I was always calling for Taylor and that she would come into the room when I yelled for her even though she knew I was having delusions. My parents told me that she was one of the best nurses and always made sure I had a bath and was clean and comfortable, even though I wasn't aware of my surroundings. When I woke up I couldn't believe a person so young could be everything my parents said she was. She even hugged me and my parents on the day we finally went home. Now I think I might want to be a nurse.
