Tea Cameron, RN

Tea Cameron is one of my facility's HART RNs. In addition to responding to rapids, codes, de-escalations, etc., Tea and the HART team serve as an invaluable resource for RN’s who are concerned about their patients. Recently, I found myself in a scenario where my gut was telling me my patient was deteriorating, but there was no clinical evidence to back it up. I called Tea, and she arrived at the bedside within minutes. As she did, the patient declined. It quickly became apparent that a CT would be needed in addition to a transfer to a higher level of care. Tea knew I had been in the patient’s room for several hours at this point, and she was aware that I had six other patients. She selflessly accompanied the patient to the test and then transferred them, allowing me to stay on the floor and take care of my other patients. In addition to supporting nurses, Tea is extremely compassionate towards patients and their families. She takes the time to explain/answer questions and even contacts family members. She consistently demonstrates integrity in all her actions. I am able to consistently give my patients 100% because of nurses like Tea Cameron. Her skills and expertise are unmatched. I can’t explain the impact her support had on me as a new graduate RN.
