~ Multiple Local (15) & International (5) 2021-2022 Projects evidencing a team of Nurses Advancing Health Equity.
~ Application requested reporting on ONE Health Determinant, this team addressed all: economic stability, education access and quality, health care access and Quality, neighborhood and built environment, and Social and Community context.
Selected Sample Projects with outcomes:
-Promoting Equity: 2021 assisted 60 elders from community and their families for electronic COVID-19 Vaccine. Outcome: All were successfully vaccinated.
-Influencing/Implementing Change: Participation in Filipino American Research Hub with five town hall meetings to address and identify health care needs. Outcome: Stakeholder’s group created to work on identifying health care issues affecting the Filipino community, access problems, and resources.
-Teaching Others: April 2022 provided tuition assistance to 6 senior nursing students in the Philippines. Outcome: All six senior BSN nursing students graduated in June 2022.
