Teanna Benbow, RN

My son was life-lined to Lutheran after an accident resulting in skull fractures and traumatic brain injury. He needed emergency surgery and was intubated, but he was fighting so hard they could not keep him comfortable and sedated. Teanna was AMAZING! She was thorough and prompt. She sat down with us to make sure we understood everything the doctor told us after surgery. Every single time we pushed the call light, she was in our room immediately to suction him and always had the next PRN dose ready to go when he needed it (which was often). When it came time to wean K off the ventilator, he was struggling greatly and Teanna stayed right by his side until he was extubate and stable. This meant that she stayed over at least 90 minutes after her shift ended just to stay with him as he was requesting that she was by his side. She wasn’t just great to our son, she was also an amazing Nurse to my husband and myself as well. She answered every question and catered to our needs.
