June 2017 Honoree
ted nofer 2, RN
A Thank You note to Ted from his grateful patient:
You saved my life. I was in cardiac arrest and you took charge, kept me focused, and brought me back after I left for a while. You calmed my family and assured me I would be okay.
I thought about this card on the flight to Peoria, and what I might say to the person who saved me from a sure death. I thanked the cardiologist who led the cath lab team in my emergency cath and stent insertion. His response was, "lots of skilled and very good people saved your life, not just me." He was right, without you Ted, none of them would have had the chance to save me. My friend, you re-lit my flickered-out candle, and kept it burning so others could continue what you started!
I'm doing great! My blood work numbers are excellent, my heart is repairing and I'm feeling good. Thank you, Ted, for saving my life.
Note: This is Ted's second DAISY Award!
