Teena Kumari, RN

Ms. Kumari was extremely attentive and caring from the beginning through the end of my visit. Ms. Kumari amplifies the best of DUKE. I was in for an endoscopy. I have been treated for several years, but I was very nervous that the Barrett's or other problems would resurface. Additionally, I am totally deaf with two cochlear implants. Teena understood my anxiety and my hesitancy to remove the implants. She was so kind and caring. She did everything she could to make me comfortable, to assure me that the implants would not be removed until I was ready to go in for the procedure. She was there when I woke up and again, she helped me in any way she could, making sure I understood the follow up instructions. She really helped me get through this calmly. I really appreciated it. It has been a tough medical month for me with tests and some surgery, so her reassurance was worth the world to me.
