Tegan Creque thoroughly loves caring for the perinatal patients on our unit. She consistently goes out of her way to make them feel special. Recently, she threw a birthday party for a patient who needed to stay in the hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy and was not allowed to have visitors as she would have liked. Tegan decorated her room and made gifts and brought food so this patient wouldn't view her birthday as a missed experience but rather, a day to remember. She advocates for our perinatal patients by regularly checking our supply cart and requesting that it be refilled/updated when it runs low on activities for these patients to utilize. Tegan's care for our patients exponentially exceeds her nursing duties. Her heart for them is so evident in the way she treats them and advocates for them.
