All the staff here have been exceptional nurses. All caring and very compassionate. I have been in this hospital for days with one of my children, and yesterday my world felt like it was turned upside down. Two of my other children were admitted to the unit. The hospital staff made sure that my children were all put on the same floor. Until my youngest had an emergency and was sent to critical care. During everything going on in my world, one very wonderful nurse stood out to me. This nurse came and talked to me while I was "room hopping" between my 3 children all under 3 years old and took the time to sit down and just take a minute to make sure not only my child was comfortable, but I was comfortable. This nurse made sure that I had eaten, that I had everything I needed, and was also adamant that I get some rest. This nurse reassured me that not only my child that he was caring for but all my children on this unit and in critical care were taken care of. This nurse was not only caring and compassionate towards my situation but was also so humble and so kind. This nurse went out of the way to make sure that I know that my kids were in good hands. I woke up this morning with my little girl holding a princess crown - I am unsure who gave it to her, but this nurse let me get rest and took such great care of her. I am forever grateful for the experience this nurse gave me during my stay here and I will never forget this nurse's kind words. "Momma you have to take care of yourself too." It is like this nurse knew that I was on the verge of a mental breakdown and was there to help. This hospital is so lucky to have this nurse, and I hope everyone gets the experience this nurse gave my family.
