Tenaha with all her experience is one of the most respected nurses at Shriners; by her peers and the medical staff. Her knowledge truly sets her apart, and she is the "go to" nurse for exemplary care. One day while caring for a young patient with a chest tube, it was Tenaha who noticed the child was getting short of breath. Without hesitation, she stabilized the patient with a temporary seal, went to surgery and obtained a replacement part, and fixed the leak, preventing a possible emergency situation. Beyond being a life-long learner and quick thinker, she is also supportive and kind. Her comfort and confidence combined make her an extraordinary Nurse.
