I had a brief stay in the hospital after an ER visit and Tenaye was the first nurse I had contact with in the room where I was admitted. Even though it was 4:30am, after a 5 hour wait in the ER, she immediately made me feel comfortable, like a friend inviting you into her home. She was so kind and patient from the very beginning. She was on duty both nights that I was there. She would come into my room and sit for a few minutes just like a friend. We’d discuss my problem and she’d help me decide what questions to ask the doctor on his visit. She charged my cell phone at night and snuck it back in my room during the night in case I woke up. She would often check in on me to see if I needed anything, anticipating my needs before I had to ring for her. Her genuine kindness and respect for me will not be forgotten.
