Being a nurse is one of the most rewarding careers, however, at times it can be very stressful. Tenika is a nurse who is caring, understanding, non-judgmental and the true definition of a team player. A few days ago, the Care Team, had to call a rapid response for me because my blood pressure had elevated. Not only did Tenika take the time to come be by my side, she also took the time to follow up afterward. She is my nurse manager, but during my time of need, she became so much more. She was my nurse, doctor, and friend. She talked to me about my situation and she listened to me too. Sometimes just that listening ear is what matters the most. Tenika goes above and beyond each day for her staff and patients. She truly cares about us and that's felt with each encounter.
