I came to the hospital in labor. My water broke en route to the hospital, and my contractions were about a minute apart and unbearable. The staff in the ER quickly got me up to OB and Tenille was in the room waiting. I was anxious and in so much pain, but Tenille remained so calm and gave clear instructions on what she needed me to do and what she was doing the entire time. Despite everything progressing so quickly, she was doing ten things at once to prep for delivery: calling the doctor, giving me IV fluids and meds, helping me ride the waves of contractions, and giving me the encouragement I needed at the time to keep going. Tenille ended up delivering and catching our son. I’ve always admired Tenille, but that night, I was so glad she was on shift and there for my family and me. I will always cherish that my friend and co-worker got to deliver our son into this world, and she is exactly who I needed that night. Thank you, Tenille.
