Tenzing is an excellent nurse with expert skills; she leads her team at night with the patient at the center of the work that needs to be done. As a charge nurse, she also mentors and guides new nurses with encouragement and enthusiasm.
Tenzing cared for a patient at the end of life. She advocated for the patient in collaboration with the physician to get the patient medication he needed. The patient stayed on the unit for 4 nights, the wife never left her husband's bedside. The patient's wife was heartbroken over her husband's condition and spent those 4 nights crying at her husband's bedside. Tenzing not only took excellent care of the patient but also showed true compassion and empathy when teaching and helping the patient and his wife. The wife told me that Tenzing was a great nurse and was so thankful for all the care she was giving her husband.
