Being in the hospital for long periods of time away from family and friends is very difficult, especially during Covid when you weren’t allowed visitors. I felt so sad and lonely until I met Teddy, who turned out to be the greatest nurse. The nurse who was with me the last couple of years helping me get through some of my toughest times. She has always gone above and beyond with a smile on her face making me feel important. Over the last 2 years when she would walk into my room and tell me she was with me for the day a calming feeling would come over me. She would give me her undivided attention like I was her only patient when I needed her. I can say with all honesty she has lifted me up and given me the strength I needed when I didn’t think I could keep going. On the days I was in so much pain and could just sit and cry she would be right there next to me with a shoulder and some tissue telling me I would get through it and that I wasn’t alone. She has the biggest heart and I feel so lucky to have met her. Not only did I luck out on an amazing nurse but I also gained an amazing friend.
