Teresa was amazing! She was my day shift nurse after I gave birth. As soon as her shift started, she noticed something wasn’t quite right with my son. She took the time to check him out and ultimately sent him to get evaluated by the doctors. My son ended up having a major heart defect that needed immediate intervention for his survival. I 100% credit Teresa with saving my son’s life. Even after he was taken to the NICU, Teresa stayed in the room with my husband and me while the cardiologist came to speak with us. I will never forget her standing there telling me everything would be okay during the scariest time in my life. She went above and beyond to take care of my son and I in a medical way but also in such a supportive way that made that day a little less scary. I can not think of anyone more deserving of recognition for going above and beyond!
