Teresa floated to our department from Orthopedics and was assigned to a patient that had been here for 4 months. This patient is a newly diagnosed quadriplegic and used his laptop frequently, as it is easy for him to use due to his limited mobility. His laptop had a virus and Teresa volunteered to take it to Best Buy to be repaired, which she paid for herself. She took it in on a Monday and had it back to him by Wednesday. The patient was very appreciative. He was going to wait until his 80-year-old mother came to visit and have her do it.
Teresa went the extra mile and got the patient's laptop fixed quickly and saved his elderly mother from taking it to be fixed. We love it when this nurse comes to work with us! She is a caring and thoughtful nurse.
