We had a patient come in via EMS in an emergent situation and Teresa was assigned to this patient. She demonstrated leadership in a situation that was chaotic and life-threatening for the patient, but rose to the occasion! She reassured the patient while quickly delegating tasks to the other nurses including the charge nurse and nursery nurse. Due to this nurse’s leadership, the patient has anesthetized appropriately and a healthy baby boy was delivered.
