Dr. Johnson has demonstrated a genuine commitment to my education and has inspired me to grow as a nurse clinician, researcher, leader, and just simply as a person.
***
Dr. Johnson has championed the Centering Pregnancy program in Racine, WI with a specific goal to improve birth outcomes, specifically in black infants. She was a founding partner of the Greater Racine Collaborative for Healthy Birth Outcomes. In a collaboration between the two programs, she has contributed to policies and practices to decrease preterm births and increase breastfeeding rates.

Dr. Johnson is the epitome of an intelligent and supportive nursing educator. In every capacity that she serves, she goes above and beyond to find opportunities for students to participate. Opportunities include data abstraction and analysis, writing grant applications, manuscript submission, and clinical practice. Dr. Johnson engages students to participate in her works to understand what a life-changing influence nursing research may have on everyday people and their health outcomes. She is nothing short of amazing.

Thank you, Teresa, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
