Teresa is one of the most passionate nurses I have ever worked with. I watched Teresa gather children’s clothing, books and a small stuffed animal for a patient who was brought into the unit for an evaluation. The child was living in a homeless shelter and was in need of these items.
Another example of Teresa’s compassion was demonstrated when she arranged a Surprise Birthday Party for another patient from poverty stricken home to celebrate with his family. This child had disclosed to her he had always wanted a party at Chuck-e-Cheese, so Teresa planned the party with his family and friends.
Teresa follows her heart and her kindness shines on to the patients she cares for. One small reminder of how nurses can make a difference.
