Teresa Kindy works at Murphy Medical Center in our Same Day Care Unit and was nominated to be honored with the DAISY Award by one of her co-workers. One example provided by a fellow nurse was when Teresa noticed a lost looking man in the hall; she stopped and asked, "may I help you"? The man asked Teresa if there was a pastor in the hospital and she told the visitor. "yes I can help you", even though she was on her way to a retirement party which she organized. She then proceeded to take the visitor to our chapel and located an in-house pastor. This is just one example of Teresa's willingness to go the extra mile. She truly demonstrates the qualities of a DAISY Nurse.
